Plounevez Lochrist

Plounévez-Lochrist is a village in northern Finistère, Brittany, located in the Léon region, known for its fertile agricultural land often referred to as the 'golden belt' due to the intensive cultivation of vegetables such as artichokes and cauliflowers. The village is crossed by the Guillec, a small river that flows into the Kernic Bay nearby, close to the hamlet of Kerfissien, where beaches are popular for swimming and coastal walks. The area enjoys a temperate oceanic climate, with mild summers and gentle winters typical of the Breton coastline. The rural surroundings offer a peaceful setting, ideal for walking or cycling through the Léon countryside, dotted with small chapels and traditional farms. The neighbouring towns of Cléder, Plouescat and Saint-Pol-de-Léon, just a few kilometres away, provide access to shops, markets and more developed tourist attractions.
