Plouezec

Plouezec is a coastal commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany, located on the Goëlo coast close to Paimpol and facing the bay that opens onto the island of Bréhat. The area is known for its coastal scenery, particularly the Pointe de Bilfot headland, which offers uninterrupted views over the Bay of Paimpol and the Bréhat archipelago. The GR34 coastal path runs along the shoreline, revealing cliffs, coves and the small harbour of Port-Lazo. Bréhec beach, sheltered from prevailing winds, is popular for swimming and watersports. Inland, the countryside retains a rural character with hedgerows and quiet lanes well suited to walking or cycling. Paimpol, just a few kilometres away, provides easy access to shops, a market and ferry links to Bréhat. The region's temperate oceanic climate makes it suitable for visits from spring through autumn. Plouezec therefore serves as a peaceful base from which to explore the Goëlo coastline and the northern part of Côtes-d'Armor, combining unspoilt nature with Brittany's maritime heritage.
