Ploubezre

Ploubezre is a village in the Trégor area of the Côtes-d'Armor, a few kilometres from Lannion and close to the Pink Granite Coast, one of Brittany's most striking natural landscapes. The surrounding countryside is gently rolling and crossed by the River Léguer, well known for salmon fishing, giving the area a distinctly green and rural character typical of inland Trégor. Notable sites include the Chapel of Kerfons, a Gothic building dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, and Kergrist Castle, set within French and English-style gardens open to visitors for part of the year. The village makes a convenient base for exploring Perros-Guirec, Ploumanac'h and their coastal footpaths, while offering a quieter setting than the busier seaside resorts. The mild oceanic climate allows for outdoor activities throughout much of the year, including walking along the Léguer valley, cycling, and exploring the local rural heritage. Breton culture remains evident throughout the area, reflected in the architecture, regional cuisine and nearby markets.
