Pinarellu

Pinarellu is a small coastal hamlet within the commune of Lecci, in Corse-du-Sud, a few kilometres north of Porto-Vecchio. The area is known for its long sandy beach fringed with maritime pines and for its Genoese watchtower, built in the 16th century on a rocky islet just offshore, part of the island's historic coastal defence network. The calm, shallow waters of the bay make it a popular spot for family swimming, as well as sailing, paddleboarding and snorkelling around the rocks. The neighbouring village of San Ciprianu extends this stretch of coastline with seasonal shops, restaurants and watersports rentals. Inland, the Corsican maquis and a handful of vineyards offer quieter walks outside the busy summer months. Compared with Porto-Vecchio, Pinarellu retains a low-key, family-friendly atmosphere with less development. Its proximity to Figari Airport and the port of Porto-Vecchio makes this part of Corsica's east coast easy to reach, known for its turquoise waters and fragrant scrubland scenery, offering a more relaxed alternative to the island's busier resort towns.
