Pegomas

Pégomas is a small town in the Alpes-Maritimes, nestled between Grasse and Cannes, close to the Mediterranean coast. Crossed by the River Siagne, it offers shaded riverside walks and summer swimming spots, while retaining a distinctly Provençal character with its old streets, town hall and local market. The area is well known for mimosa cultivation, which blooms in winter and forms part of the identity of the nearby Grasse region, the world capital of perfumery. The surrounding hills, dotted with olive groves and vineyards, provide a rural setting popular for walking and cycling. Pégomas enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and gentle winters, ideal for outdoor activities throughout the year. Its central location makes it easy to reach the beaches of the Côte d'Azur, the Gorges du Loup, or perched villages further inland such as Mougins and Valbonne. The town therefore serves as a peaceful base from which to explore both the Cannes coastline and the typical Provençal countryside, combining unspoilt nature with easy access to the region's larger towns.
