Partinello

Partinello is a small municipality in Corse-du-Sud, located on the western coast of Corsica, between the Gulf of Porto and the Scandola Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The commune includes the hamlet of Curzu and stretches down to the coastline, providing access to secluded coves and the Gulf of Girolata, reachable mainly on foot via the postman's trail or by boat from Porto. The landscape is defined by dense maquis scrubland, rugged terrain and the red cliffs typical of this part of Corsica. The area draws hikers, divers and nature lovers, with striking viewpoints over the Gulf of Porto, itself a World Heritage Site. The Mediterranean climate brings hot, dry summers ideal for water-based activities, along with mild winters. Partinello remains an authentic, sparsely built-up village, its traditional stone architecture blending into the mountainous surroundings. Its location makes it a convenient base for exploring the Piana calanques, the village of Girolata and the trails of the Corsica Regional Nature Park.
