Marciana

Marciana is a hilltop town on the island of Elba, in Tuscany, overlooked by Monte Capanne, the highest peak in the Tuscan archipelago. The historic village, with its steep and narrow lanes, retains a medieval character thanks to its stone houses and Pisan castle overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The municipality also includes the seaside resort of Marciana Marina, a picturesque harbour with a Genoese tower and sandy and pebbly beaches, as well as the hamlet of Poggio, known for its spring water and authentic atmosphere.
