Labenne

Labenne is a coastal town in the Landes department, in south-west France, situated between Bayonne and Capbreton. It comprises an inland village and a seaside district, Labenne-Océan, which stretches along the Atlantic coast. The beach at Labenne-Océan, lifeguarded during the season, is popular with surfers and bodyboarders thanks to consistent waves, while the pine-forested area behind the beach offers shaded paths ideal for walking and cycling. The town lies within the Landes forest, between the ocean and wetland areas, making it well suited to outdoor pursuits such as rambling and wildlife watching.
