La Marana

La Marana is a coastal area in Haute-Corse, Corsica, located on the eastern shoreline just south of Bastia. It stretches along a stretch of fine sandy beaches facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, popular for swimming and water sports such as kitesurfing and windsurfing. The area borders the Étang de Biguglia, Corsica's largest brackish lagoon and a protected nature reserve home to diverse birdlife, making it a draw for birdwatchers and those keen on countryside walks.
