Los Alcázares

Los Alcázares is a seaside resort in the Murcia region, located on the northern shore of the Mar Menor, a saltwater lagoon known for its calm, shallow waters. The mild Mediterranean climate, pleasant throughout the year, makes it ideal for water-based activities such as sailing, paddleboarding, kitesurfing and swimming, suited to families and watersports enthusiasts alike. The seafront promenade links several fine sandy beaches and offers numerous restaurants and terraces serving fresh seafood and fish typical of the region. The town retains some heritage from its military past, including a former air base, along with a few archaeological remains pointing to earlier Roman settlement in the area.
