Palau Savardera

Palau-saverdera is a village in the Alt Empordà district, in the province of Girona, Catalonia. Nestled at the foot of the Serra de Rodes mountains and just a few kilometres from Roses Bay and the Costa Brava, it enjoys an unspoilt natural setting between farmland and rugged hills. Its proximity to the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà natural park, a protected wetland well known for birdwatching, makes it a popular starting point for nature lovers. The village retains a traditional Catalan old town, with narrow lanes and a parish church. The surrounding countryside is shaped by vineyards belonging to the Empordà wine region, as well as traditional olive groves.
