Jullouville

Jullouville is a seaside resort in the Manche department of Normandy, set on the Norman-Breton Gulf coastline, facing the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. The town lies between the sea and the Bouillon state forest, offering a varied natural setting of sandy beach, dunes and woodland. Its long, lifeguard-patrolled beach in season is popular for swimming, walking and outdoor sports, while the seafront still features a number of early 20th-century villas, remnants of the resort's origins as a seaside destination created in the late 19th century. Jullouville sits close to Granville, a lively port town, and makes a convenient base for exploring the Chausey Islands or Mont-Saint-Michel, both within about an hour's drive.
