Orihuela Costa

Orihuela Costa is a coastal area of the Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante, made up of several residential developments such as Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, Punta Prima, Campoamor and La Zenia. The coastline alternates between rocky coves and fine sandy beaches, many lined with seafront promenades. The Mediterranean climate, warm and dry for much of the year, encourages outdoor living and water sports such as sailing, diving and paddleboarding. The area is also home to several well-regarded golf courses, along with marinas at Cabo Roig and Campoamor. La Zenia Boulevard, one of Spain's largest shopping centres, draws visitors with its shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. The historic town of Orihuela, with its old quarter and Gothic cathedral, lies a short drive inland. Orihuela Costa is close to Torrevieja, known for its pink salt lagoons, and benefits from good road links to Alicante and Murcia. The area has long attracted an international population, particularly from Britain and Scandinavia, contributing to its tourism and residential development.
