Puerto de la Cruz

Puerto de la Cruz is a coastal town in the north of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, known for its mild year-round climate and authentic atmosphere shaped by its history as a port town. The Lago Martiánez complex, a series of seawater pools and gardens designed by architect César Manrique, is one of the town's main landmarks, offering a pleasant setting by the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby, Playa del Bollullo, best reached by car, is known for its black volcanic sand and unspoilt surroundings, framed by banana plantations. For shopping and leisure, the Siam Mall shopping centre adds to the local offering.
