Etables-sur-Mer

Étables-sur-Mer is a coastal town in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany, on the Goëlo coast, close to Saint-Brieuc. Since 2016, it has formed part of the merged commune of Binic-Étables-sur-Mer, while retaining its own identity and popular beaches, such as Les Godelins and Ville-Berneuf, backed by unspoilt natural areas. The GR34 coastal path, which runs along the entire Breton shoreline, passes through the town, offering views over the English Channel and the surrounding coves. The village retains a quiet, residential character, making it a pleasant base for stays throughout the year. The area is well suited to shellfish gathering, walks along the customs officers' path, and water sports, thanks in part to the nearby harbour at Binic. The temperate oceanic climate brings mild summers and gentle winters typical of the Breton coastline. Local cuisine focuses on seafood, crêpes and galettes, along with Breton cider. Étables-sur-Mer therefore makes a convenient starting point for exploring the Penthièvre coast and the Goëlo region.
