Santa Flavia

Santa Flavia is a coastal municipality in the province of Palermo, Sicily, situated around twenty kilometres from the regional capital. It comprises several hamlets, including Porticello, a fishing village known for its lively harbour, fish market and seafood restaurants. The municipal area contains the archaeological site of Solunto, an ancient city founded by the Phoenicians and later developed under Greek and Roman rule, with remains spread across the slopes of Monte Catalfano offering open views over the bay. Nearby, the Capo Zafferano headland is a well-known natural landmark, popular for coastal walking and diving.
