Cap Bénat

Cap Bénat is a wooded peninsula on the Var coastline, located between Bormes-les-Mimosas and Le Lavandou, close to the Fort de Brégançon. This largely private and protected natural site, with limited public access, is characterised by dense Mediterranean vegetation of pines and holm oaks, along with secluded coves beneath the properties lining the shore. The nearby Cabasson beach is one of the best-known access points in the area, offering fine sand and calm waters typical of this stretch of the French Riviera. The setting remains quiet and largely undeveloped, in contrast to the livelier resorts nearby. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, draws visitors mainly from spring through autumn. Activities here are mostly limited to swimming, walking along coastal paths, and taking in views of the protected shoreline. The area appeals to those seeking privacy and unspoilt nature, away from the busier tourist spots along the Var coast.
