Bravone

Bravone is a coastal spot on Corsica's eastern shoreline, within the commune of Linguizzetta in Haute-Corse. It is chiefly known for its long, fine sandy beach fringed by Mediterranean scrubland, providing a relatively unspoilt natural setting away from the busier tourist areas. The location enjoys the typical Mediterranean climate of Corsica's eastern plain, with hot, dry summers well suited to swimming and watersports. Bravone lies close to the Étang de Diane, a coastal lagoon renowned for its oyster farming, and not far from the archaeological site of Aléria, a former Roman settlement that reflects the region's rich ancient history. The area is valued for its still-wild surroundings, dunes and characteristic coastal vegetation typical of eastern Corsica. The surrounding plain is also shaped by agriculture, particularly vineyards, which contributes to the local landscape. Bravone makes a convenient base for exploring Corsica's eastern coast, combining peaceful beaches, ancient heritage and the mountainous hinterland that defines much of the island.
