Prunete

Prunete is a small coastal settlement on Corsica's eastern shoreline, part of the commune of Cervione in the Haute-Corse department. It lies along the coastal plain facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, with a sandy beach being one of the area's main attractions. The location enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers well suited to swimming and water sports such as sailing and diving. Prunete sits close to Cervione itself, a hilltop village offering views over the eastern plain and the sea, as well as the Castagniccia massif, known for its chestnut forests and traditional architecture. The region is also known for Corsican gastronomy, including cured meats, brocciu cheese and chestnut-based specialities. From Prunete, it's easy to explore nearby Aléria, home to ancient archaeological remains, or the Diana lagoon, noted for its oyster farming. This part of Corsica remains generally quieter and less touristy than the western coast, offering an unspoilt setting between sea and mountains, well suited to a relaxed, nature-focused holiday.
