Cléder

Cléder is a small town in the north of Finistère, within the Léon area, just a few kilometres from Saint-Pol-de-Léon and Roscoff. Bordered by the English Channel, it offers a varied coastline combining sandy beaches and rocky outcrops, typical of this stretch of Brittany. The village retains a strongly rural character, surrounded by farmland that forms part of the region's renowned market-gardening belt, particularly known for growing artichokes and cauliflowers. The surrounding countryside is well suited to walking, with scattered chapels and wayside crosses reflecting the traditional religious architecture of the Léon area. The temperate oceanic climate allows for year-round visits, with mild winters and moderate summers. Cléder makes a convenient base for exploring the so-called Coast of Legends and nearby towns such as Roscoff, well known for its harbour and ferry links to the British Isles.
