Encamp

Encamp is a parish in Andorra located in the country's central valley, just a few kilometres from Andorra la Vella. Sitting at around 1,300 metres above sea level, it enjoys a mountain climate with cold, snowy winters and mild summers, making it well suited to outdoor activities throughout the year. The area is known for its National Automobile Museum, which houses a collection of vintage vehicles, as well as the Romanesque church of Sant Romà, a notable piece of Andorran religious heritage. Nearby, Lake Engolasters, reachable on foot or by cable car, offers a scenic setting popular with walkers. Encamp also serves as a convenient gateway to the Grandvalira ski area, one of the largest in the Pyrenees, making it a practical base for winter breaks. Outside the ski season, the surrounding countryside lends itself to hiking, mountain biking and exploring the Pyrenean landscape. The parish retains a residential and traditional character, with local shops and architecture typical of the region, while remaining well connected by road to Andorra's other parishes.
