St-Lunaire

Located on the Emerald Coast in Ille-et-Vilaine, St-Lunaire is a seaside resort neighbouring Dinard, just a few kilometres from Saint-Malo. The town is known for its two main sandy beaches, the Grande Plage and Longchamp beach, as well as the Pointe du Décollé, a striking rocky headland where visitors can observe the Saut du Chat blowhole and the Grotte des Sirènes at certain tides. The coastal footpath GR34 runs along the shoreline, passing early 20th-century seaside villas that reflect the resort's early tourist heyday. St-Lunaire is also home to one of France's oldest golf courses, established in the 1920s and set right by the sea. The mild oceanic climate, with cool summers and gentle winters, makes the area well suited to outdoor pursuits such as sailing, coastal walking and swimming. Its proximity to Dinard and Saint-Malo allows visitors to combine a seaside stay with exploring the region's historic heritage, including the ramparts of the old corsair city.
