Treflez

Tréflez is a small commune in Finistère, on the northern coast of the Léon region, bordering the Bay of Kernic. It is best known for the Dunes of Keremma, a vast protected dune system stretching along the shoreline, popular for walking and cycling as well as birdwatching. The Curnic beach, backed by these dunes, offers a wild, unspoilt setting ideal for shellfish gathering and long coastal walks. The village itself retains a typically rural Léon character, with stone houses and a parish church. The surrounding area, between Plouescat and Cléder, offers further beaches, harbours and local markets characteristic of northern Finistère. The oceanic climate, with its steady winds, also makes nearby beaches well suited to activities such as land yachting or kitesurfing. Tréflez therefore serves as a peaceful base for exploring the Côte des Légendes and enjoying a well-preserved natural environment, away from the busier seaside resorts.
