Visan

Visan is a Provençal village in the Vaucluse department, in south-eastern France, nestled between the Rhône valley and the foothills of Mont Ventoux. The village is known for its vineyards, being one of the communes entitled to the Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation under the name Visan, with several wine estates open for tours and tastings. The village centre retains traces of its medieval past, including the ruins of a castle, alongside a church and narrow lanes typical of Provençal heritage.
