Gordola

Gordola is a village in the canton of Ticino, in Italian-speaking Switzerland, located in the district of Locarno on the shores of Lake Maggiore, at the point where the Verzasca river flows into the lake. The village lies within the Piano di Magadino plain, an alluvial area known for its nature reserves and birdwatching opportunities, including the nearby Bolle di Magadino wetlands.
