Lignano Sabbiadoro

Lignano Sabbiadoro is a seaside resort on the Adriatic coast, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, located at the mouth of the Tagliamento river. The town is divided into three distinct areas: Sabbiadoro, lively and central, Pineta, quieter and more residential with wooded surroundings, and Riviera, centred around the marina. The fine sandy beach stretches for several kilometres and is the main draw, backed by a promenade lined with shops, bars and restaurants. The pine woods of Lignano Pineta offer a calmer setting, well suited to walking and cycling thanks to numerous dedicated paths. Family-friendly attractions include the Punta Verde zoo park and amusement parks such as Gulliverlandia. The town also has a thermal spa, Terme di Lignano, used for wellness treatments.
