Reichenburg

Reichenburg is a municipality in the canton of Schwyz, located in the district of March, close to Lake Zurich and its upper section known as the Obersee. Set within the Linth plain near the canal of the same name, the village enjoys a typically rural setting in this German-speaking part of Switzerland, framed by green hills and open views towards the first foothills of the Alps. Reichenburg lies just a few kilometres from the small towns of Lachen and Tuggen, making it easy to reach the lakeside for walks or cycling trips along the paths that follow the Linth canal. The area is valued for its tranquillity, its still-present farming activity, and its convenient position between Zurich and the central Alps, roughly an hour's drive from Switzerland's economic capital.
