Les Crosets

Les Crosets is a mountain resort in the Valais region of Switzerland, sitting at around 1,660 metres above sea level within the municipality of Val-d'Illiez. It forms part of the extensive Portes du Soleil ski area, which links several French and Swiss resorts through a network of lifts, providing access to numerous alpine ski runs and touring routes. The village retains an authentic character, with traditional chalets and a peaceful atmosphere favoured by winter sports enthusiasts looking to avoid the bustle of larger resorts. In summer, the area is well suited to walking and mountain biking, with trails leading up to the surrounding ridges and offering views towards the Dents du Midi peaks. The alpine climate generally ensures reliable snow cover during the winter season. Les Crosets also benefits from its proximity to Champéry, a livelier neighbouring resort easily reached via the slopes or by road. The unspoilt natural surroundings, combining alpine pastures and larch forests, are among the destination's main draws, making it a small-scale mountain retreat within the Valais region.
