La Tzoumaz

La Tzoumaz is a mountain village in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, set on a sunny plateau overlooking the Rhône valley, close to Verbier. It forms part of the 4 Vallées ski area, one of the largest in Switzerland, accessible via the cable car linking the resort to Col de la Croix-de-Cœur and the Savoleyres slopes. Known for being quieter and more family-oriented than neighbouring Verbier, La Tzoumaz appeals to skiers, snowboarders and tobogganers, with runs suited to beginners as well as more experienced visitors. In summer, the area becomes popular for hiking and downhill mountain biking, with a well-regarded bike park nearby.
