Collombey-Muraz

Collombey-Muraz is a municipality in the canton of Valais, located in the district of Monthey, in the heart of the Rhône plain. It enjoys a typical alpine setting, surrounded by vineyards and close to the Alpine foothills, with clear views of the Dents du Midi. The village lies just a few kilometres from Lake Geneva and the village of Le Bouveret, as well as from Monthey, the main town in the area. Its location makes it a convenient base for reaching the winter sports resorts of the Portes du Soleil area, including Champéry and Morgins, both under half an hour away by car. The climate, shaped by the Rhône valley, brings warm, dry summers ideal for walking and cycling along the surrounding vineyard trails. The Valais region is also well known for its white and red wines, as well as local specialities such as raclette and alpine cheeses. Collombey-Muraz retains a residential and rural character while benefiting from the nearby amenities of Monthey and direct access to the A9 motorway linking Lausanne to Brig.
