Badonviller

Badonviller is a small town in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, in the Grand Est region of France, set in the Blette valley within the so-called Petite Suisse Lorraine, a hilly area on the fringes of the Vosges mountains. Largely rebuilt after the destruction of the First World War, the town retains an industrial heritage centred on its historic faience pottery works, once well known throughout the region. The wooded, rural surroundings are well suited to walking and exploring the rolling countryside typical of this part of Lorraine, with its forests, meadows and small streams. Nearby Baccarat, just a short drive away, is home to the renowned crystal works and museum, while nature lovers can follow trails leading towards the foothills of the Vosges. The climate is continental with Vosges influences, bringing mild summers and colder winters, making outdoor activities possible throughout the year.
