Siviez-Nendaz

Siviez-Nendaz is a small mountain hamlet located at the head of the Nendaz valley in Valais, Switzerland, at an altitude of around 1,740 metres. It serves as one of the access points to the 4 Vallées ski area, one of the largest in Switzerland, linking Nendaz with Veysonnaz, Thyon and Verbier. Cable cars depart from Siviez towards the Tortin sector and Mont-Fort, providing access to slopes known for their reliable snow cover and considerable vertical drop. The surrounding landscape is typically alpine, framed by peaks and glaciers, including the Mont-Fort glacier. In winter, the resort draws visitors focused on alpine skiing and off-piste terrain, while summer brings hiking and mountain biking, with trails connecting to the surrounding alpine pastures. The hamlet itself remains modest in size, with accommodation mainly consisting of chalets and small residences set within a quiet, low-key environment. Its position at the valley head makes it a practical starting point for exploring both the wider ski area and the natural scenery of central Valais.
