Savognin

Savognin is a mountain village in the canton of Graubünden, located in the Surses region within the Albula valley, close to the Julier Pass. The village lies within the Ela Regional Nature Park, one of Switzerland's largest protected natural areas, offering an unspoilt alpine setting well suited to summer hiking. In winter, Savognin has a ski area linked to Tigignas and Radons, popular with families and intermediate skiers. The resort has also developed as a summer sports destination, featuring a well-regarded bike park and downhill mountain biking trails that draw an active clientele. Paragliding is another popular activity in the area, thanks to favourable thermal conditions in the surrounding valleys. The village retains a traditional Graubünden character, with stone-and-timber houses, and serves as a base for exploring nearby peaks such as Piz Toissa and Piz Mitgel. The alpine climate, with mild summers and snowy winters, makes it a year-round tourist destination.
