Rueras Dieni

Rueras is a small village within the municipality of Tujetsch, located in the Surselva valley in the canton of Graubünden, close to the Oberalp Pass and not far from the source of the Anterior Rhine. This alpine hamlet, surrounded by pastures and coniferous forests, lies just a few kilometres from Sedrun, a resort known for its ski area linked to the Disentis region. The locality has a distinctly alpine climate, with snowy winters well suited to downhill and cross-country skiing, and mild summers ideal for hiking and mountain biking along the valley's numerous trails. The Rhaetian Railway line, which crosses the Oberalp Pass, serves the area and provides easy connections to Andermatt and Chur. Traditional Grisons architecture, featuring wooden and stone chalets, defines the village's built landscape. Rueras offers a quiet base from which to explore the Surselva, its side valleys and the typical scenery of the Swiss Alps, away from the bustle of larger tourist resorts.
