Silbertal

Silbertal is a mountain village in Vorarlberg, nestled in the heart of the Montafon valley in western Austria. Surrounded by peaks often exceeding 2,500 metres, it is a popular destination for mountain holidays throughout the year. The village has a small ski area suited to families and beginners, with lifts serving alpine slopes, while the surrounding area also offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In summer, Silbertal serves as a starting point for numerous hiking and alpine walking routes, thanks to a network of trails linking the valley to nearby mountain pastures and huts. The village has retained the traditional rural character typical of the Montafon region, with wooden chalets and a peaceful atmosphere, away from larger tourist resorts. Local cuisine highlights dairy products and cheeses from mountain farming. Silbertal remains a quiet base from which to explore the Montafon valley, combining unspoilt nature, fresh air and outdoor activities suited to every season.
