Tignecourt

Tignecourt is a small rural village in the Vosges department, in the Grand Est region of north-eastern France, located in the south-western part of the Vosges massif, not far from Monthureux-sur-Saône and Darney. The village lies within a gently rolling landscape typical of this part of the Vosges, characterised by meadows, woodland and small streams feeding into the Saône river. The climate is continental, with mild summers and cooler winters, well suited to outdoor pursuits such as walking and cycling through the surrounding countryside. The area is also known for its proximity to the spa towns of Vittel and Contrexéville, some twenty kilometres away, as well as the Darney state forest, popular for its wooded trails. Tignecourt offers a peaceful, unspoilt setting ideal for a countryside break away from urban bustle, while remaining within reasonable reach of Épinal, the Vosges' county town, which has a wider range of shops and cultural attractions.
