Fontenoy le chateau

Fontenoy-le-Château is a small village in the Vosges department, in the Grand Est region, nestled at the confluence of the River Coney and the Vosges Canal. The village is marked by the remains of its medieval castle, which overlooks the settlement and recalls its fortified past. It also has a history of leatherworking and slipper-making, traces of which can still be seen in some of the older buildings. Surrounded by water and wooded hills, the area is well suited to walks along the canal, fishing, and cycling on the surrounding paths.
