Venisey

Venisey is a small rural village in the Haute-Saône department, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, located a few kilometres from Jussey. This part of Haute-Saône is characterised by gently rolling countryside, combining meadows, woodland and streams, typical of this area of Franche-Comté. The climate is semi-continental, with moderately warm summers and cooler winters, well suited to outdoor pursuits such as walking and cycling along the surrounding country lanes. The region retains a strong rural character, with farming still present and traditional stone-built houses. The surrounding area offers a peaceful setting, valued for its unspoilt countryside and lack of urban bustle, roughly an hour from Vesoul, the departmental capital, and within reasonable reach of Gray and the historic town of Langres, just over the border in Haute-Marne.
