Gy

Gy is a small town in the Haute-Saône department, around twenty kilometres north of Vesoul, set within the gently rolling hills typical of the Haute-Saône plateau. The village is known for its château, a former fortified building that reflects the area's medieval past and remains one of the main points of interest in the town centre. Old lanes and a number of characterful houses lend Gy a peaceful, rural atmosphere, well away from the bustle of mainstream tourism. The surrounding countryside is largely unspoilt, ideal for walking or cycling amid farmland and woodland typical of the Franche-Comté region.
