Cousances les forges

Cousances-les-Forges is a small rural village in the Meuse department, in the Grand Est region of north-eastern France, set among the wooded hills and ponds typical of the Barrois area. Its name reflects a former ironworking tradition, forges having shaped the economic history of many villages in this part of Lorraine before declining during the 19th century.
