Nettancourt

Nettancourt is a small rural village in the Meuse department, in the Grand Est region of France, set within the gently rolling landscapes of the Perthois area, close to the fringes of the Argonne forest. Located just a few kilometres from Revigny-sur-Ornain, this countryside village offers a peaceful setting surrounded by farmland, meadows and woodland, ideal for walking and rambling. The wider area has long been shaped by agriculture and livestock farming, with a rural heritage typical of the Meuse, including stone farmhouses, modest village churches and quiet country lanes. Nature lovers can explore nearby forests as well as the Ornain and Saulx valleys, both well suited to walking or cycling trips. The Meuse department, strongly associated with First World War history, also has several memorial sites and regional museums within easy reach.
