Lavoye

Lavoye is a small village in the Meuse department, in the Grand Est region, situated on the edge of the Argonne forest. This rural area, characterised by rolling meadows and woodland, offers a peaceful setting typical of the Lorraine countryside. The village lies close to Clermont-en-Argonne and Sainte-Menehould, which serve as local hubs for shops and everyday services. The Meuse department holds significant historical weight, particularly linked to the First World War: the Argonne and Verdun sectors, just a short distance away, were the scene of major battles, and numerous memorials and war cemeteries still bear witness to this period.
