Buxieres sous les cotes

Buxières-sous-les-Côtes is a small village in the Meuse department, in the Grand Est region of north-eastern France, set on the wooded limestone escarpment known as the Côtes de Meuse. The village enjoys a peaceful, green setting typical of the Meuse countryside, surrounded by forests, farmland and small hamlets. Nearby lies Lac de Madine, an artificial lake popular for swimming during the summer months, as well as for water sports such as sailing and kayaking, and for its cycling and walking paths circling the water. This lake is one of the main outdoor leisure spots in the area.
