Mont-Saint-Martin is a town in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, in the Grand Est region, located at the northern tip of France, right on the border with Belgium and Luxembourg. It forms part of the Longwy conurbation, within the historic Pays-Haut area, long shaped by its ironworking heritage. The town enjoys a strategic cross-border position, popular among cross-border commuters working in nearby Luxembourg. The surrounding landscape still bears traces of the steel industry that defined the region for over a century, set within the gently rolling hills typical of northern Lorraine.
