Belleville

Belleville is a small village in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, within the Grand Est region, set in a typically rural part of Lorraine. The village lies close to Pont-à-Mousson and offers a peaceful setting, characterised by rolling countryside, farmland and patches of woodland well suited to walking. Thanks to its proximity to the Moselle valley, larger towns such as Nancy and Metz are within easy reach, both under an hour's drive away, giving access to a rich architectural and cultural heritage, particularly around Art Nouveau and Lorraine's history. The region is also known for its gastronomy, with local specialities such as quiche lorraine, mirabelle plums and Nancy's bergamot sweets. The semi-continental climate brings mild summers and cooler winters, well suited to outdoor pursuits like hiking or cycling along the surrounding country lanes.
