Rozelieures

Rozelieures is a small rural village in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, in the Lorraine region, set in the Mortagne valley just a few kilometres from Lunéville. The village is best known for its whisky distillery, housed in a former Lorraine farmhouse, one of the few French distilleries producing this type of spirit from locally grown grain. The surrounding landscape is typical of the Lorraine plateau, featuring gently rolling countryside, farmland, meadows and small wooded areas, ideal for walks and exploring the local scenery. Nearby Lunéville offers easy access to its historic château and lively town centre, while Nancy, a little further away, provides a wider range of cultural attractions and shops. Rozelieures remains, above all, a peaceful countryside destination, well away from urban bustle, with a distinct identity shaped by its artisanal distilling tradition. The climate is continental, with cool winters and moderately warm summers, typical of eastern France.
