Messas

Messas is a small village in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, situated close to the Loire river and the historic town of Beaugency. This rural village offers a peaceful setting amid farmland and natural landscapes typical of the Loire Valley, an area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its scenery and architectural heritage. The nearby Loire river makes walking and cycling popular pastimes, particularly along the Loire à Vélo cycle route that runs through the region. The surrounding area provides easy access to the castles and tourist sites of the Loire Valley, as well as neighbouring towns such as Beaugency, Meung-sur-Loire and Orléans, the latter located roughly twenty kilometres away. The climate is a mild oceanic type, with gentle summers and relatively temperate winters, making the region pleasant to explore throughout the year.
