Vitry aux loges

Vitry-aux-Loges is a village in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, bordering the Orléans state forest, one of the largest state-owned forests in France. The village is particularly known for the Étang de la Vallée, a leisure area offering supervised swimming, picnic spots and a campsite, popular during the summer months. Its close proximity to the woodland makes it a good base for walking, mountain biking and exploring the local wildlife, as well as mushroom foraging in autumn. The atmosphere is quiet and rural, typical of villages in the northern Loiret. Orléans lies around twenty kilometres away, making it easy to combine a countryside stay with a visit to a historic city rich in heritage. The climate is temperate continental, with mild summers and cool winters, suited to both outdoor pursuits and relaxed nature breaks.
