Tavers

Tavers is a small commune in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, situated on the banks of the Loire river close to Beaugency. This Loire Valley village enjoys a well-preserved natural setting, forming part of the Loire Valley area listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The commune makes a pleasant base for exploring the surrounding Loire châteaux, including those at Beaugency, Chambord and Chaumont-sur-Loire, all within an hour's drive. Cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby La Loire à Vélo cycle route, which follows the river through the region. The mild, temperate oceanic climate makes the area suitable for visits throughout much of the year.
