Ouzouer sur trezee

Ouzouer-sur-Trézée is a small village in the Loiret département, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, set along the Trézée river from which it takes its name. It lies close to the Canal de Briare and the Canal latéral à la Loire, in an area characterised by numerous waterways and ponds, ideal for walking and fishing. The surrounding countryside, made up of woodland and meadows, is well suited to hiking or cycling, particularly along the towpaths that criss-cross the department. The village retains a typical rural character of the Loiret, with its church and traditional stone buildings. The nearby town of Gien, known for its earthenware pottery and its château overlooking the Loire, offers an easy cultural excursion just a few kilometres away. The region enjoys a temperate oceanic climate, with mild summers and relatively cool winters. Ouzouer-sur-Trézée makes a peaceful base from which to explore the Loire Valley, its châteaux and riverside landscapes, away from the busier tourist spots of the region, while remaining within easy reach of Orléans and the UNESCO-listed Loire Valley.
